Aikido training offers conditioning of the mind, body and spirit which develops skills for combating physical, mental and spiritual attacks.

Aikido is a great martial art for anyone which obviously includes women. Aikido focuses on using an attackers energy against them by use of blending, redirecting and off balancing. To do this effectively you must learn to move properly with good timing, distance and extension of energy and not rely on simply trying to over powering the attack. The movements learned in aikido are particularly effective for evading and escaping various forms of attack like wrist or arm grabs, chokes and punches. These movements are learned by performing basic body movement exercises which are unique, fun to perform and promote whole body wellness.

Through the study of Aikido, students learn to blend with an attack rather than meet it head on. The energy of an attack is redirected by use of joint locks, strikes, throws and pins to control an opponent with only as much force as is needed to maintain control.
